A Tribute to Zydrunas Ilgauskas

The Cavaliers will honour one of their favourite sons tonight as they send Big Z's No.11 to the rafters.

Ilguaskas was part of the sublime '96 draft class but didn't play until '97-98 because of problems with his foot. Whilst this injury would plague him for the early part of his career, when he did play, he played well.

Z was incredibly agile for a man of his size; he could pass like the great Litho centers that had come before him; and he possessed good range on his jumpshot. We went on to become a two time All-Star and an integral member of the successful Cavs teams of the mid to late 2000's.

We got a chance to catch Ziggy live at the tail end of his career during the 2010 Eastern Conference Finals. He was looking handsome as ever. WARNING: Images may contain Glen Davis.

Congratulations Zydrunas Ilgauskas, we love you.
