Card of the Week: We Talkin' About Christmas

There are a number of basketball cards out there that are Christmas themed, the most popular being the Fat Shawn Kemp holiday special.

Our gift to you this year is a young Allen Iverson sporting a Santa hat, part of SkyBox's ridiculous Mod Squad series.
We encourage you to check out other cards in the series if you're interested in seeing Stephon Marbury playing ping pong with a name tag on.

Card of the Week: Lanard Copeland LA Clippers

Joe Ingles isn't the first "Australian" to represent the metropolis formerly known as Lob City.

The Clippers were obviously impressed with Ingles during the World Championships, particularly his ability to execute the pick and roll.

Card of the Week: Boris Diaw Rookie Card

According to Google Translate, Boris is described as "mainly a smasher" on the rear face of this French rookie card. Without fully understanding the meaning or context behind "smasher", we are going to agree wholeheartedly.

Card of the Week: LeBron James vs Trevor Ariza

This is almost encroaching on "Who Dunked It Better?" territory, but we're running this as Card of the Week out of courtesy to the fine men and women of Upper Deck.

It is not often that we are forced to choose between LeBron's iconic first game dunk and Trevor Ariza's shoes.

NB: Ariza's highlights from his time in New York include some very large dunks.

Card of the Week: Andrew Gaze Udine Wild Card

In 1991-92, Gazey was in the north east of Italy dropping 30 a night for Udine.

During his European vacation, he also found time to tell the wife of the Udine GM how massive his catso was.

True story.

Here's the Wild Card to end all Wild Cards. Shout out to Banca Del Friuli aka Old Money.

Card of the Week: The Admiral

Card of the Week continues our World Game theme with this classic SI card featuring The Admiral disrupting a perfectly good game of football.  It's also a great opportunity for us to feature some of Matt Le Tissier's finest work.
