On this day, the Seattle Supersonics won their first and only NBA championship in 1979. The captain of that squad was Downtown Freddie Brown, #WisconsinStyle pioneer and flat-out shooter. Fred Brown was the first person to lead the league in 3P% when association began recording the statistic in '79.
